Did You Know?

The footage of the game shown when Calvin and his friends tie up Mr. Bittleman is actually from the 2000 NBA Slam Dunk Contest which Vince Carter won.

Errors in geography:
While playing against the Miami Heat in a "home" game, banners for the Philadelphia Phantoms are visible in the rafters meaning the scene was filmed in Philly, not LA.

Dirk Nowitzki:
Can you sign this? It's for my niece.

Calvin Cambridge:
Sure. What's her name?

Dirk Nowitzki:
Uhhh… Dirk.

User Review

Keep the film in perspective

Rating: 8/10

I just finished watching "Like Mike" with my 7 year old son and he loved
On a scale from 1-10 I gave it an 8. I must admit I was partial on the
vote because it reflected my son's enjoyment. I think some should
that this was a kid's movie and shouldn't take it so seriously. I
the flow and even though it was obviously very predictable let's not
the target audience for this film. "Like Mike" was enjoyable and warm and
perfect for your FAMILY film night, as it was intended in the first
