Did You Know?

Trivia:

Overboard was released in 1987. In
The Best of Times starring Kurt Russell, released just the year before, there are references to "Gigi", who is Kurt Russell's character's wife and also one of the opposing football players was known as "Dr. Death". In Overboard the letters "G.G." are spray painted on the boys' club house and they also refer to "Dr. Death" coming to rescue their "mother". Both movies start Kurt Russell.

Goofs:

Factual errors:
After Annie/Joanna returns to the yacht with Grant and then decides she wants to go back to Oregon, she has the boat turned around to head back up the coast. Grant notices that "the boat's been turned around" when he sees land outside the port-side (left) window. If this were true, however, the land would be on the starboard (right) side of the yacht.

Quotes:

Doctor at Hospital:
Look, if it were up to us, we would be glad to give her to you, but she's right we are gonna need some verification.

User Review

First-rate comedy

Rating: 7/10

This is a comedy that doesn't suffer from time or repeated viewings. It
has
all the trappings of a true classic. The cast, Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell,
Edward Hermann and Roddy McDowall all put in good performances. The 4
child
actors all do very well, too. The story is a funny one and it keeps me
laughing. All in all, a very funny movie. I own it and will throw it in
the
DVD player every once in a while.
